Timeline for submissions

You have until the end of September 2017 to submit your piece of advice.

What happens to my submission(s)?

Stories will be selected to be published in a printed book and/or online via the A Century of Advice website/social media.

Am I allowed to submit more than one story?

Yes! If you are full of helpful advice, please send us another story. Keep in mind, your submissions must be authentic and true experiences.

How will I know that my submission has been chosen to be published?

If we choose your story, we’ll contact you via phone or e-mail.

Can I upload a video?

Yes, you can upload videos of you giving your piece of advice. If you’re interviewing another person, please make sure you have his/her/their consent before sending the video to A Century of Advice. If you shoot a crowd in public, you only need written permission from people who speak or those who you focus on prominently.

What if I am a minor?

If you were between 14 and 19 years old as of September 10, 2016, you’ll need permission from your parent or legal guardian to submit your story. If you were under 14 years of age as of September 10, 2016, your parent or legal guardian should have submitted your piece of advice for you.

What if there’s music in my video?

You cannot use copyrighted music in your videos, only royalty-free, public domain options or music you’ve created.

When will the book be published?

We hope to publish the hard cover book in 2018. Stay tuned for further details by checking this site and connecting with us through social media.

Will I be compensated for having my submission in the book or online?

No. You will be recognized as a Contributor.
